In celebration of International Women’s Day, we want to take a moment to honour the amazing women within our M.M Linen team. Every day, the dedication and hard work of all our staff are recognized, and we’re inspired by the incredible women who empower us, in particularly our Founder and Creative Director, Kerry Jackson. Kerry’s passion for fostering an inclusive and strong team has shaped our company, from our head office, across our retail stores in New Zealand and out to our international team in Hong Kong, China, and the UK.
“After a long career as a Homewares buyer with a passion for art and interiors, at the age of 50, my business partner & I launched the M.M Linen brand. Having a hugely supportive group of friends and family, along with such a committed team of colleagues has been key to the success of our brand for the past 12 years.
As a bed linen and homewares business, we do tend to attract more females, and a high percentage of our customers are also! I love owning a business that allows our team to tap into their creative side, encourage growth in all business forms, and empower confidence. We employ an amazing group of 20 wahine in our head office in Christchurch and in our 4 NZ retail stores, from students to women who have reached a stage in in their career where they want more of a work/life balance and are in job share or part time roles. “Having joined M.M Linen almost 8 years ago. I love to be surrounded by fabrics, textures and colours that Kerry, as an artist, has selected from nature’s palette, for our bedlinen and homewares collections. I appreciate working with Kerry as her personal assistant and office manager, in a fun environment that combines art with business. I am inspired by Kerry’s success, having established a global NZ brand out of her personal interest and love of linen, homeware and art.” Helen.
